Summer is winding down! Even though we bask in the California sun all year long (Can you say spoiled?), we only have a few months of the year to enjoy those long summer nights. Before you know it, the smell of pumpkin spice lattes will fill the air. Wrap up your summer in LA by spending these last few weeks to indulge in some fun activities.
Plan a Beach Day – Yes, you can sit by the beach any given day of the year to soak up the California sun, but there is nothing quite like a sunny summer day in LA. Play hooky this weekend and treat yourself—Bring your best girls and drink of choice to the sand, and get that envious summer glow you deserve!
Go to a Dodgers Game – Baseball, beer and hotdogs? Sign me up! A Dodger’s game is the perfect way to spend a summer night with friends. The Dodgers regular season runs through September, so make sure to support our LA Dodgers for their last few games at the stadium this summer! It’s a guaranteed good time.
Take a Weekend Trip – Summer is the perfect time to take a break from the LA madness—Make a small road trip with some of your best friends and explore a different town! Santa Barbara is the perfect little beach town if you’re trying to wind down, and Joshua Tree is iconic for its hiking and beautiful sunsets. Depending on your preference, a new place can be a refreshing. Pack up your car, gather your friends and hit the road!
Go to the Hollywood Bowl – Summer is the perfect time to experience one of the best outdoor concert venues in the country, so spend the next few weeks hitting up the Hollywood Bowl for live concerts. To fully enjoy the experience, make sure to pack a blanket and a bottle of wine. Don’t miss Empire of the Sun on September 20th!
Take a Hike – While summer comes to an end, you need to ensure you make time for a last minute summer hike. The Griffith Park trail will take you right behind the Hollywood sign, while the Runyon Canyon trail will reward you with a perfect landscape view of LA. Regardless of the hike you choose, grab your friends and enjoy some exercise in the sun! Your Instagram feed will thank you.
