At 10am PST on September 12, Apple hosted their annual keynote address at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino. This is one of Apple’s most anticipated events of the year, carefully executed by their Public Relations and Marketing teams. During the keynote, Apple announced 3 new iPhones as well as the new generation of Apple Watch.
Some new features that we are most excited as public relations professionals are listed below:
- iPhone XS Max Screen Size
As social media enthusiasts, we always want to see the biggest and best version of content in our hands. The new Max screen size is much larger than the original Plus size, but because of the edge-to-edge screen, the body size of the phone is quite similar. Additionally, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max both have OLED screens whereas the iPhone XR has LCD. - Camera Quality
Apple showcased various images that were shot on iPhones, but did you see the TIME magazine cover? Upon further research, we learned that there were up to 12 TIME covers that were shot by Luisa Dorr, who is a Brazilian photographer and designer. Additionally, the new lens is equipped with 12 megapixels and have bigger sensors than before. The portrait mode, which was first introduced in the iPhone 7 Plus, now has an additional aperture setting. And did we mention the new 512GB size, which guarantees that we will always have room for more pictures? - Apple Watch Series 4
The new Apple Watch also boasts an edge-to-edge display with larger watch sizes than before. We are especially excited about Apple’s expansion of its third-party applications embedded in the watch. This will allow public relations professionals to stay more connected than ever before, at a touch of the wrist.
The new iPhone pre-orders will be available this Friday, September 14.
