Meet Lisa Homsy! We’ve quickly become obsessed with her Instagram, which captures her amazing adventures around the world. We have to agree – she creates content magic that transports you to the most beautiful places. Read on to learn about her advice for aspiring travel bloggers and her biggest travel tip to keep in mind when heading somewhere new.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why? Bali, Indonesia – I’ve visited 3 times! I love the people, the culture and especially the food!

What is your best piece of advice on the first step aspiring travel bloggers should take? Get out there and have fun, the inspiration and content will come if you are enjoying yourself.

What are 3 things you can’t live without? Electronics! My camera, my laptop and my external harddrive. It’s sad but I’m always connected.

What do you think it is about your Instagram that makes it stand out among other travel blogs? I would have to say it’s my lust for discovering the unknown and my editing style.

Do you have a quote or mantra you live by – if so what is it? “Trust Your Journey” have faith and things will fall into place.

What is your biggest and/or most important travel tip? Learn to trust your gut. In traveling, you learn to become very in-tune with yourself and if something doesn’t feel right it probably isn’t. It’s a fine line between putting your trust in a total stranger and putting yourself in danger. I’m very trusting but that doesn’t mean that I let my guard down, especially when traveling solo.

Which do you prefer Instagram stories or Snapchat? Why? Instagram stories hands down! All my followers want to see the travel travels so why use another platform! Plus I love the Live feature! I will say though that I miss the snapchat filters.

How do you get the attention of brands you want to work with? Consistent photography and editing. I never use an iPhone which also allows for high quality photos which will showcase the product at its best.

What is your dream brand that you would love to work with? Revolve!

What do you have planned for your next adventure? Nothing is certain yet but I’m thinking Tulum in May!
