Best Holiday Activities in Los Angeles

At BLND PR, a Los Angeles PR firm, we believe strongly in the idea of work hard play hard. When it comes to the holiday season, we are all about it. Today, we’ll be rounding up some of the best holiday activities in Los Angeles area. From Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Years, there’s an activity for everyone.

Thanksgiving

Although turkey day is traditionally spent at home with friends and family, there are plenty of activities for those who want to venture out. Los Angeles’ annual Turkey Trot returns for another year at DTLA. From 5k, 10k, or 1 mile walks for children, get out there and get active at this family-friendly event. This year, the Turkey Trot benefits Midnight Mission.

Love food? Love animals? Spend Thanksgiving lunch at the Aquarium of the Pacific to get a head start on the food coma before dinner time rolls around. A traditional Thanksgiving menu will be served and the aquarium is open for the day as well, so you can walk off all that food after you’re stuffed.

Christmas

A 9-decade old tradition, the Hollywood Christmas Parade is a must-see for the holiday season. Starting at 5:00 p.m. on November 25th, there will be performers, floats, bands, balloons and many more attractions. Our advice is to go early as there will be curbside seating available for those who want to rest their feet. Proceeds from the parade will be benefiting Toys for Tots.

Come out to the 4th annual Christmas Faire at Alpine Village. On December 9 & 10, enjoy live music and faux snowfall in Torrance along with activities such as market shopping and meeting Santa. Additionally, there will be holiday food stands and European Christmas treats for sale.

New Year’s

Although LA always gets made fun of for not having real winters, we can still ice skate here! Head over to Pershing Square in DTLA for their holiday ice rink which is open from November 15th, 2018 to January 21st, 2019. They even have curling lessons and silent disco nights!

All aboard The Queen Mary! This year, Queen Mary will be taking you back in time to celebrate the new year. With multiple themed decks and ballrooms, enjoy the live music, dancers, and watch the fireworks with a killer view. Early bird tickets are already on sale. This sounds like an unforgettable event!

As a Los Angeles PR firm, we are always looking for the coolest parties and events to attend. These are some of the ones that we are most excited for this holiday season. Let us know how you will be spending your holidays.
