Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?background copy
I grew up in Dallas Tx. I started my blog after I completed floral design school in Paris and was a Sophomore at Southern Methodist University.

What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Friendly, laid back and hard working.

What Profession other than yours would you love to attempt?
I would love to be a florist. I started a floral business around when my blog started to take off and had to choose between the two. Arranging flowers is so beautiful and relaxing.

What is your favorite quote?
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness – Audrey Hepburn

What inspired your blog?
I was in Paris and had all of these amazing photos documenting my travel and style. I had a lot of girls come up to me in school asking me. “Where did you get that?” I studied Journalism, Advertising and Fashion Media so it all fell in to place.

What is your favorite social media platform and why?
I am obsessed with Pinterest. I find so much inspiration on there.

What do you think it is about your blog that keeps people coming back for more?
I think people can relate to my style. It’s very wearable. They want to see how they can dress up jeans and look to find great basics at a moderate price point. My site is a place to inspire with everyday outfits.

How does a brand get your attention for a feature?
Through email.

What do you love most about blogging?
I love that I have gotten to meet so many amazing people, travel all over the world and become my own boss. It is not like working at a magazine where I don’t have full control over my editorial content. It lets me be creative, work only with the brands I love and the best is choosing my own schedule.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
The exciting yet scary thing about being a blogger is I don’t know what the future holds. I would love to have a book on style and possibly even a small clothing line.

In your opinion, what separates a great blog from an unsuccessful blog?
As a blogger, it is important to stay true to yourself, work hard and be nice to everyone. This industry is small so you don’t want to burn any bridges. I treat my blog like a creative outlet and a business.
