Beauty’s obsession with CBD is just beginning! CBD is becoming the hottest ingredient in beauty, making its appearance in different types of skin care, color cosmetics, wellness supplements, and even makeup! CBD beauty brands are attracting customers with these products with promises they will promote relaxation, act as an anti-inflammatory and have soothing qualities.
What Even Is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is an extract from the cannabis sativa plant. No CBD will not make you high! The THC is what is responsible for the intoxication associated with the consumption of cannabis. CBD has no components to produce an intoxicating effect but instead, it can be viewed almost like a vitamin. It has anti-inflammation properties, vitamins A, D, and E, and essential fatty acids.
How CBD Beauty PR is Different Than Mainstream Beauty PR
There are plenty of people out there who don’t truly know what CBD is, they associate it with a drug so they stay clear. Doing PR for CBD beauty means to focus on killing the stigma against weed and CBD. To do so, we can educate everyone on the safety of CBD and eliminating the negative connotation it has. Public relations for CBD beauty also means emphasizing the benefits it provides like all of the anti-inflammatory properties and vitamins which is great for skincare products.
CBD is trading in its stoner image for a new one of beauty and luxury. PR for CBD is vital to help CBD make its name as a powerhouse for all things wellness related.
