Meet Evelyn, our spring intern from Riverside, California.
What word (one word only) describes you best? Lively
Most interesting job you’ve ever had: I was part of the Los Angeles Angels Strike Force team and aside from it being a blast, we got to work really interesting events and shoot T-shirts into the crowd with a T-shirt gun during games. One time, I missed a person’s hand and accidentally shot another person’s beer out of their hand. I felt pretty bad.
Describe your morning routine: Check twitter, make coffee, check Instagram, turn on some good music and get ready for the day.
Coffee style: Cold brew. No additives. All black everything.
Wardrobe style: I think i’m still trying to figure this out, but it definitely changes for the occasion. I love the athleisure trend, I’ll take any excuse to be casual and wear comfy yoga pants and my favorite sneakers! If not, I think I’m a mixture of casual and chic.
Favorite restaurant: Of course I have two, I love food! First, it’s Frida’s Restaurant-hands down the best salsa I’ve ever had! (And i’m basically a chips & salsa connoisseur) Second, is a Long Beach gem, Manaow Thai Restaurant. Make sure you try the Panang Curry!
Favorite TV Show: Grey’s Anatomy. I basically think I’m a doctor now
Favorite blogger: I’m really into Youtube bloggers right now, especially makeup guru’s, so I would have to say Lustrelux.
Biggest fear: Disappointing my loved ones.
Must-have makeup product: It’s hard to pick one, but I’m going to have to go with my Anastasia Brow Whiz
App you can’t live without: Waze, because I am so directionally challenged and I also hate sitting in traffic
Your greatest human inspiration: My grandma, she taught me how to really value the small things in life.
If you had the power to fix one problem in the world, what would it be? Racism. I think people should be judged by the content of their character and not by where they come from or the language they speak.
If you could be a movie, what would it be? Eat, Pray, Love. Even though there it starts with a sad situation, which I wouldn’t want to go through, I dream about traveling the world and would love to travel to experience different cultures through foods and traditions.
Habit to break: Being so indecisive
Habit to make: being patient while driving in LA.
Next tech to adopt: I’ve been dying to get a Canon camera to take great social media and blog photos!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Career wise, I see myself in a Director position in a lifestyle or entertainment Public Relations agency. Life-wise, I hope to be well-traveled and happily married with a family.
If you knew today was your last day on earth, what would you do? I would grab my loved ones and travel to a tropical destination where we can enjoy many laughs, good wine and great food.
What has BLND done for you? I’ve already learned so much during my time here at BLND. BLND has definitely strengthened my public relations skills and has challenged me to be a quick-thinker and creator. Most importantly, it has reaffirmed my decision to go into this industry.
